A Walk Through Empires: Discovering Istanbul’s Old City

After breakfast, we step into the heart of historic Istanbul, where centuries of civilization unfold in every stone and skyline. Accompanied by your guide, explore the atmospheric old town, starting with the majestic Blue Mosque, renowned for its cascading domes and exquisite tilework. Continue to the ancient Hippodrome, once the beating heart of Byzantine public life, then visit the opulent Topkapi Palace, the former seat of the Ottoman sultans. No visit would be complete without standing in awe before the legendary Hagia Sophia, a monument that has served as a church, mosque, and now museum — embodying the city's layered past.

In the afternoon, an optional Bosphorus cruise invites you to see Istanbul from the water — a city set on two continents, divided by the shimmering strait that connects the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara. Glide between Europe and Asia as you pass by elegant Ottoman mansions, ornate palaces, and timeworn fortresses, all backed by Istanbul’s ever-evolving skyline.

As evening falls, we gather for dinner and reflect on the day’s journey through Istanbul’s living history. Overnight in Istanbul, where ancient wonders meet modern charm.

From Rolling Hills to Sacred Shores: Journey to Gallipoli and Çanakkale

Start your day with an early breakfast before setting out on a scenic drive toward Çanakkale, weaving through verdant farmlands and tracing the tranquil coastline of the Sea of Marmara. As the journey unfolds, we approach the legendary Dardanelles Strait, where the waters of the Marmara flow into the Aegean — a narrow yet strategically vital passage steeped in centuries of history.

Upon arrival in the vibrant port city of Çanakkale, take some free time to enjoy a leisurely lunch and absorb the maritime atmosphere before continuing to one of the most poignant places in modern memory — the Gallipoli Peninsula. Here, amid steep hills and quiet ravines, the echoes of the ANZAC landings of 1915 still resonate deeply.

Explore the preserved battlefields where Turkish and Allied forces once clashed in fierce combat. Walk among the remains of Turkish trenches, and stand in reflection at the Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair memorials, where lives lost are honored and remembered. As your guide recounts the harrowing events of that fateful campaign, the landscape around you becomes more than terrain — it becomes a powerful reminder of sacrifice, courage, and the shared cost of war.

We return to Çanakkale in the evening, where a delicious dinner awaits. Overnight in Çanakkale, with hearts full from a day of deep reflection and connection to history.

Echoes of Legends: From Ancient Troy to Timeless Selçuk

After breakfast, we set out toward Selçuk, but not before making a memorable stop at the legendary city of Troy — where myth and archaeology intertwine. Immortalized in Homer’s Iliad, Troy’s weathered walls once witnessed the epic saga of the Trojan War. As you walk through the ancient ruins, your guide will bring to life the tales of Achilles, Hector, and the infamous Trojan Horse, a symbol of cunning and conquest. Don’t miss the chance to snap a photo beside the replica of the wooden horse, standing as a tribute to one of history’s most iconic stories.

We then continue to Selçuk, a charming town set against the backdrop of some of Turkey’s richest historical treasures. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided exploration of Ayasoluk Hill, where history rests in layers. Step inside the elegant Isa Bey Mosque, a rare example of 14th-century Seljuk architecture, and gaze upon the Grand Fortress overlooking the valley. Just beyond lie the ruins of the Basilica of St. John, built on what is believed to be the saint’s final resting place. According to Christian tradition, St. John, accompanied by the Virgin Mary, came to Ephesus from Jerusalem and lived here until his death around AD 100.

As evening falls, you’re free to unwind at your own pace, or for those drawn to early Christian history, you may choose to join the optional and deeply meaningful Seven Churches Tour, exploring sacred sites mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

Walking Through Time: Ephesus, Mary’s House & Sunset in Şirince

After breakfast, we begin our day by stepping into the ancient marvels of Ephesus, one of the most remarkably preserved archaeological wonders in all of Turkey. Nestled within the modern town of Selçuk, this once-thriving Greco-Roman city still echoes with the footsteps of emperors, philosophers, and apostles.

Our exploration starts along the timeworn Marble Road, where we pass the Fountain of Trajan and the beautifully adorned Temple of Hadrian. The path leads us to the awe-inspiring Library of Celsus, an iconic symbol of classical architecture and intellectual life. We then enter the magnificent Great Theatre, capable of seating up to 26,000 spectators — a place etched in Biblical history as the site where Demetrius the silversmith rallied a crowd against St. Paul (Acts 19:23).

As the journey continues, we delve into the Terrace Houses, once home to Ephesus’ elite, marvel at exhibits in the Ephesus Museum, and visit the ruins of the Basilica of St. John, believed to be built over the apostle’s final resting place. Ephesus was not only a major political center, but also a hub of early Christian activity. St. Paul lived and preached here for two years, shaping the community before his exile to Patmos.

In the afternoon, you have the option to visit the serene House of Mary (Meryemana) — a tranquil sanctuary said to be where the Virgin Mary spent her final days under St. John’s care.

We then travel to the hilltop village of Şirince, famous for its fruit wines, cobblestone streets, and centuries-old carpet weaving traditions. Learn how artisans craft vibrant rugs using natural dyes and hand-looms, and enjoy a moment of rest over a cup of Turkish tea as the sun sets over the terracotta rooftops.

After this rich day of culture and heritage, we continue on to Pamukkale, where dinner and an overnight stay in Denizli (Pamukkale) await.

Coastal Charms & Sunken Secrets: From Kaş to Kekova and Onward to Antalya

After breakfast, we board our coach for a scenic journey along the Mediterranean coast toward the captivating town of Kaş. Nestled on the Teke Peninsula, this seaside gem was once known as Habesos in ancient Lycia and later as Antiphellos in Greek antiquity. Today, Kaş enchants visitors with its whitewashed houses, bougainvillea-draped lanes, and panoramic sea views. Enjoy a leisurely walking tour, where the layers of history and the laid-back coastal charm meet in perfect harmony.

We then travel onward to Kekova, a tranquil fishing village steeped in legend and natural beauty. Here, we’ll embark on a Kekova Boat Tour, gliding across crystal-clear waters with swimming stops at Tersane Bay and Kumlu Pier, ideal spots to cool off and soak in the serenity of the Mediterranean.

As we cruise, we’ll pass over the hauntingly beautiful Sunken City of Kekova Island, where the ruins of ancient structures lie just beneath the surface — submerged by an earthquake in the 11th century AD. This unique landscape, only accessible by sea, offers a surreal glimpse into the past. We’ll also admire Simena Village and its hilltop castle, dotted with Lycian tombs and commanding spectacular coastal views. Your guide will share the stories and secrets of these remarkable places as you take in the scenery.

Waterfalls, Wonders & Ancient Echoes: Discovering Antalya and Beyond

After breakfast, we begin the day with a journey into the natural beauty of Antalya, starting with a visit to the serene Düden Waterfalls. Surrounded by lush greenery, these cascades offer a refreshing escape and are perfect for a moment of peace. You’ll explore both the Upper Düden Waterfall, set in a tranquil forest park, and the dramatic Lower Düden Waterfall, where water plunges straight off a cliff into the sparkling Mediterranean Sea — a breathtaking sight.

Our next stop is the Antalya Archaeological Museum, one of Turkey’s most prestigious cultural institutions. This impressive museum holds treasures from millennia past, including statues, mosaics, and everyday artifacts from the Hittite, Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods. It’s a deep dive into the rich civilizations that once thrived in this region.

We then travel to Aspendos, where you’ll encounter one of the world’s best-preserved Roman theatres. With its near-perfect acoustics and architectural grandeur, this 2nd-century structure continues to host performances today — a testament to the brilliance of ancient engineering.

A Journey to the Heart of Spiritual Heritage: Konya & the Legacy of Rumi

This morning, we board our coach and set out for Konya, a city steeped in tradition and known as one of Turkey’s most spiritual and culturally rich destinations. Konya holds a special place in the hearts of many as the home of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi — the renowned 13th-century Sufi mystic, poet, and philosopher whose message of love, tolerance, and unity continues to inspire people around the world.

Born in Persia and later settling in Konya, Mevlana shared teachings that emphasized the power of divine love as a path to spiritual awakening. His most celebrated work, the Masnavi, is considered one of the greatest masterpieces of Sufi literature, guiding seekers through metaphor, poetry, and wisdom toward deeper understanding and inner peace.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided orientation walk through the city’s historic core, where the atmosphere still echoes with Mevlana’s legacy. Afterwards, take time to relax and absorb the local ambiance with a traditional tea break in one of Konya’s leafy tea gardens, where locals gather for conversation and reflection.

In the evening, return to your hotel for some well-earned rest. Later, join your fellow travelers for a relaxed dinner, reflecting on a day immersed in the spiritual heart of Anatolia.

Into the Depths and Heights of Cappadocia: A Day of Wonder

After breakfast, we begin our journey into the mystical region of Cappadocia, where nature and history have conspired to create one of the most otherworldly landscapes on Earth. Our first stop is the Göreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where centuries-old rock-cut churches and chapels adorned with vivid frescoes reveal the spiritual heart of early Christianity.

From sacred heights, we descend deep underground to explore the astonishing Derinkuyu Underground City, a subterranean labyrinth stretching 60 meters below the surface. This ingenious network of tunnels and chambers includes everything from kitchens and wine cellars to chapels and stables — a testament to the resilience of ancient communities seeking refuge from invaders.

As the day unfolds, you’ll experience the surreal beauty of Cappadocia’s geological wonders — the iconic fairy chimneys, sculpted over millennia by volcanic eruptions, wind, and rain. Walking through valleys that resemble the surface of another planet, you’ll encounter rock-cut homes, monasteries, and silent echoes of a history that predates even the Hittites.

For those wishing to unwind after a day of exploration, there is the option to indulge in a traditional Turkish Hammam experience, followed by an optional Turkish Night — a lively evening of music, folk dance, and regional flavors that celebrate Anatolian culture.

A Day Among Fairy Chimneys: Exploring Göreme & Cappadocia’s Wonders

Cameras ready! After breakfast, we set out to explore the captivating beauty of Göreme and its extraordinary surroundings with your expert local guide. Our journey begins at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Göreme Open-Air Museum, a breathtaking complex of rock-carved churches, chapels, and monasteries that date back to the early centuries of Christianity. With its well-preserved frescoes and spiritual atmosphere, it’s one of the most iconic sites in Cappadocia.

Next, we head to Uçhisar Castle, a towering natural rock formation that once served as a fortress. Here, you’ll uncover a fascinating network of underground passageways, storerooms, and burial chambers, offering a glimpse into life carved into stone over the ages.

Cappadocia’s landscape, shaped by volcanic activity and centuries of human settlement, is a masterpiece of both geology and history. For those who enjoy hiking, the nearby Red, Rose, or Love Valleys offer trails with otherworldly views and a sense of serenity.

We then visit Devrent Valley, also known as Imagination Valley, where wind-sculpted rock formations take on animal-like shapes — from camels to seals — creating a natural sculpture park that delights the senses.

Depending on timing, we explore Paşabağı, or Monks Valley, home to the hermit caves of the Simeon monks and some of the most iconic fairy chimneys in the region. With their mushroom-shaped peaks and peaceful ambiance, it’s a place that feels untouched by time.

Our next stop is Avanos, a riverside town known for its ancient pottery tradition. Enjoy a delicious traditional Turkish lunch, followed by a hands-on pottery-making experience with local artisans — a wonderful way to connect with Cappadocia’s cultural roots.

We end the day with a visit to Göreme Panorama, offering one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the region’s unique rock formations. Take in the scenery, snap your final photos, and enjoy the silence of stone under open skies.
